Interfolio
- Online Credentials Service
What
is the Credentials Service?
The Credentials
Service maintains letters of reference for current students
and alumni for use in applying to graduate school, teaching
positions or other employment opportunities. A typical file
contains three letters of recommendation from professors who
know you and your work fairly well. Your file may also contain
optional items such as your resume, curriculum vitae, unofficial
transcripts, or a writing sample.
How
do I get letters of recommendation?
Carefully
select professors who know you best to write letters on your
behalf. Provide each writer with a copy of your resume and a
description of the graduate programs, teaching positions or
jobs that you are pursuing. Allow the writer at least two weeks
to complete the letter. Be sure to thank letter writers for
their time and assistance and let them know the results of your
application process or job search.
How
does the credentials service work?
The Rutgers
Credentials Service is now online. Through a partnership between
Career Services and Interfolio.com, you can now manage your
