Visit any Career Services office each semester and pick up our fall or spring "Events" calendar.
While exploring our website, click on "Events" for upcoming seminars.
Sign up for and attend our seminars,  "What Do I Do with a Major in...?" and "Major Decisions."
Schedule an appointment with a career counselor to discuss choosing a major and identifying possible career options.
Consult our "Majors and Career Profiles."  Over 80 majors at Rutgers are profiled, including lists of actual jobs obtained by Rutgers alumni.  Paper copies are available at any Career Services office.
Visit the Rutgers Online Career Planning Site on this website. Explore your interests, skills, and values and how they relate to Rutgers University majors and jobs obtained by Rutgers graduates with specific majors. A brief introductory session with a career counselor is recommended.
Explore courses that interest you and talk to academic advisors about possible majors.
Begin reading about career options at any of our three Career Libraries.
Join one or more student organizations and consider leadership roles.
Use the online Alumni Career Network to learn about and contact Rutgers alumni in your major or fields of interest for academic and career advice.
Learn about career options from professionals by attending our career panels each semester.
Cultivate faculty and staff relationships.
Seek a summer internship or externship to explore careers and gain valuable experience.  Go to CareerKnight to review internship listings earmarked for Rutgers students online. 
Ask your academic department about major-specific internship opportunities.
Visit the Student Employment Office in Records Hall on the College Avenue Campus or log on to the website for information on part-time jobs.
