Liberal Arts Students

Did you know that more than 70% of Rutgers students are "liberal arts" majors? What, in fact, does "liberal arts" mean? It refers to majors in the humanities, social sciences and sciences - all majors other than business, engineering and pharmacy. The word, "liberal" means open-minded, unbiased, generous, or free, and a good liberal arts education fosters these very ways of thinking.
