COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course examines the diversity of non-vertebrate
animals from evolutionary, ecological, and physiological perspectives.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Express understanding of the fundamental differences among
invertebrate taxa. Gain an appreciation for the diversity of
animals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the relationships among taxa.
- Demonstrate the ability to make careful observations of specimens.

concern for the factors that influence the living populations within these
waters.

- Express understanding of the physical, chemical, and geological
factors of inland waters and how these affect the distribution of
organisms.
