I.D. Page Instructions

In a class with 50 or more students, it takes a while (sometimes almost the whole semester) for me to learn the names of all the students. Therefore I have devised a method for learning your names more quickly, which will also help me to learn a little about you. I would like each one of you to make an "identification page" that has a photograph of you. This could be just a xerox of your student I.D., but it would be great if the picture you include is larger than that. It would be nice if you could make it a color copy, but it isn't required. Just so I can recognize you from the photo. You may attach or incorporate the photo in any way you choose--just so it helps me to figure out who you are!

In a class this size it is also harder for me to get to know the students as individuals. That is why I'd like your page to include some "vital statistics" about yourself.

Please include:

your year in college and your major, or potential ideas for a major.

Consider including:

...your interests and passions, where you are from, what your family is like, hobbies, intellectual interests, favorite movies, musical tastes, etc. etc. Please feel free to be creative and come up with your own ideas for this page. I encourage you to include a short (say two paragraphs) autobiography on your I.D. page. Anything I should know about you as a learner--learning styles, strengths, weaknesses, classroom preferences?? Here's a good place to tell me.

Please turn in your I.D. page on the second or third day of class--no later.
