FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR
WHEN:
Wednesday, September 13, 2006
WHERE: Busch Student Center Multipurpose Room
TIME: 7:00 PM after the P1 Lab Coat Ceremony
Hope
everyone is excited about the new semester and enjoying an
exam free week. There seems to be a feel of excitement in
the air. The rainy weather is gone and there are many things
to look forward to.
The first
pre-professional students are excited about joining the
Rutgers community and beginning there journey into college.
The second pre-professional students cannot wait to indulge
themselves in organic chemistry. The first professional year
students are getting ready for the lab coat ceremony. The
second professional year student are thrilled about
therapeutics and Medicinal chemistry; some more than others.
The third professional year students are happy they are not
second professional year students anymore. The fourth
professional students are excited to move onto a rewarding
career.
However,
there is another reason we all should be excited as a whole,
the first PGC (Pharmacy Governing Council) meeting is
here!
The first
meeting will be held after the lab coat ceremony. There will
be plenty of GREAT FREE FOOD. Come and get a closer
look at all the organizations and decide which club meets
your interest. It is like a buffet, get a taste of all the
clubs that seem tasty and then decide which ones are worth
getting up for seconds. This is a great way to meet your
fellow students. There are many advantages of making
connections; just think about the pharmacy books that you
want to pass on to someone and think about the expensive
pharmacy books that you need to buy. I highly doubt that a
communication major is going to buy that medicinal chemistry
book of yours and have a Drug information book handy for you
in his closet; just some food for thought to go with the
GREAT FREE FOOD that will be at the meeting.
All organizations must be at the meeting; however, all are
welcomed to attend. SO, don't miss out on making that new
friend, hearing that great joke, and tasting that great free
food.
Sincerely,
Dhaval
Shah

BIG BROTHER /
BIG SISTER PICNIC
Pharmacy
school's Freshman/Transfer Orientation!
Rx Freshman and
transfers were lucky this year. They have attended the
best Big Brother/Big Sister Picnic so far in the pharmacy
school's history.
Thanks to PGC's
Executive Board, and the Big Brother/Big Sister Committee
for their hard work in pairing up the Littles with their
Bigs, for designing the signature picnic t-shirt, for
grilling such good food, and for executing a successful
picnic! |
