Scene 2

Yoko is working at her desk at home. She is tapping at the keys of her computer. A bubble appears above the computer with the URL she is typing:

Yoko: (thinking) "These are great facts. I'd better write them down."

A lined piece of paper appears and the viewer sees what Yoko is writing:
"1843 - at age 46, Isabella adopts the name Sojourner Truth, leaves New York and travels to Springfield, Mass. -- grandson James Caldwell born "

Yoko writes a note at the bottom:
"found on her website"

A squawking sound is heard and a parrot suddenly appears.

Parrot: "You should print it out or you won't remember where you got it from. The page can change and you'll have no proof where you got the information."

Yoko's : "huh?!"

Parrot: "Don't let this happen to you"

A list appears:

Popular excuses people use when they write bad citations:
--"I forgot to write down all the information"
--"I didn't have any money left on my copy card"
--"I didn't print out the Web page and now the Web page has changed!"
--"The printer was out of paper and I was late for class."
