Abstract: Developing and implementing integrated pest management (IPM) programs for tree fruit is the central focus of my research program. This multifaceted research is based upon understanding the biology and ecology of arthropod pests, natural enemies, and their interactions with host plants. My research also includes studying the impact of pesticides on non-target arthropods, insecticide resistance monitoring, and pesticide efficacy. I am also involved in developing alternative pest management options including mating disruption, integrated fruit production (IFP) programs, orchard floor management, and sustainable tree fruit pest management.
