The Judicial Process

The easiest way to understand the judicial process is to begin examining
it by the nature of the offense.  The two primary categories of misconduct
are separable and non-separable offenses:

Separable offenses are those which are serious enough to potentially
merit suspension or expulsion from the University.

Non-separable offenses are less serious and would merit a sanction
less than suspension or expulsion (e.g. warning or probation).
The judicial process for both types of offenses begins at the individual's
college or school of affiliation.  Non-separable offenses continue to be
dealt with at the college level; separable offenses, unless an individual
admits responsibility, proceed to the  university level.
