OFSA administers membership in three honor societies to recognize outstanding achievements by fraternity and sorority men and women. Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Academic Honor Society, Rho Lambda and the National Order of Omega hold membership drives each semester. Students interested in pursuing membership can find more information here.

Honor Society Members

Gamma Sigma Alpha
Gamma Sigma Alpha, the National Greek Academic Honor Society, is open to upperclass students that have completed 60 hours or more with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or a 3.5 grade point average in any semester of their junior or senior years. There is a one-time membership fee of $35 to cover the membership badge and certificate. Students interested in joining only need to complete an interest form and return it to OFSA.

Order of Omega

The National Order of Omega is an honor society for fraternity and sorority members. Members are selected based on character, scholarship, participation in the Greek community and service to the university and New Brunswick community. Students who have completed 60 credits or more, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for membership. Membership in The Order is based on an application process and is limited to 3% of the entire Greek community. A one-time membership fee of $60 is assessed at the time of initiation.

Rho Lambda
Rho Lambda National Honorary recognizes sorority women in the RPHC and Panhellenic who have displayed outstanding leadership ability and loyalty throughout their years of membership. To be eligible for membership women must be upperclassmen with at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and must have been active initiated members for at least two semesters. Membership in Rho Lambda is based on an application process and is limited to 10% of the total number of sorority women on campus. A one-time membership fee of $42 is assessed at the time of initiation.
