Readings, Lectures and Workshops

1. As a poet who has performed her poetry at many universities and festivals in this country and abroad--in England, Australia, Japan, Italy and Israel--I can give readings from my poetry in general, or from my work on Jewish themes. My midrashic book, The Nakedness of the Fathers includes both poems and prose pieces on Biblical characters.
   
   
2. I lecture on American Poetry; Women’s Poetry; Eros and Metaphor; God the Father/ God the Mother; Contemporary Midrash; Holocaust Poetry.
   
   
3. I have taught Midrash Writing workshops in the USA and abroad. In these workshops, participants re-invent, with a contemporary perspective, stories from the Bible (or from other traditions), gaining insight into ourselves, and into the founding tales of our society.
