This course addresses multicultural, intercultural, and historical under-standing of the social behavior and current experiences of Asian Ameri-can individuals and their communities in the United States. The development and evolution of Asian American communities will be examined in the context of historical, social, economic, and political forces in American society. The course will combine oral history as retold by invited speakers from Asian American immigrant and refugee communities and historical research.
