As I discussed on Wednesday, I had scheduled the final exam for the last day of class, i.e. Monday, May 4 (usual time, usual place). However, I was recently informed that there is a university-wide rule prohibiting exams being held in the last 2 weeks of the semester. So it looks like we have two options: EITHER ignore the rule and stick with the original plan, OR reschedule the exam for sometime during the exam period. I posed this question to those of you who turned up on Wednesday, and the clear consensus was to stick with the original plan and have the exam on the last day of class. However, I realize that not all of you were present, and that some of you might prefer to discuss this with me one-on-one. So: if for whatever reason you’d prefer to have the exam sometime during the exam period rather than on the last day of class, please let me know asap. Otherwise, we’ll go ahead with the original plan.

PS Here are the notes about the format of the exam that I discussed on Wednesday.

Hi everyone. I screwed up my instructions for the previous homework — I meant to say that you should do the odd-numbered exercises of SET A in Chapter 6. Sorry! As a result, I’m making the previous homework (as I initially described it, i.e. all odd-numbered exercises in Ch.6 + the additional exercise) count for both homework 6 and homework 7. If you haven’t submitted that homework yet, or didn’t submit all of it, you can do so on Monday.
