The Administrative Assembly of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is an elected deliberative body representing the university's non-union, non-faculty, administrative, professional and supervisory employees. It consists of delegates elected by the represented employees in annual elections. One additional delegate is appointed by the president of the university. The appointed delegate, who represents the Office of the President, has a voice, but no vote, in the Assembly's proceedings.

The Assembly meets in full session once each semester from September through June. It also divides into committees to study specific issues and make recommendations to the full body. Some of the committees are Salary, Compensation and Benefits; Awards and Events; and Communications and Marketing, which, among other things, is responsible for these Web pages.

The Assembly has the attention of the president and his cabinet. It is closely involved with the current effort to devise a more equitable, responsive and effective compensation scheme based on performance, rather than seniority.

At present, the Administrative Assembly has vacancies for several delegates in New Brunswick along with vacancies in Newark and in Camden.

Anyone interested in serving on the Administrative Assembly is invited to contact Gloria Meyer, chair of the Election, Nominations and Membership Committee.
