Calculating a Carnegie unit: 36 weeks x 5 sessions x 45- 50 ' = 135 -150 hours classroom time
Add 65-150 hours for prep time and get a minimum of 200 hours of work (1 hr classroom + ½ hour prep)
Academic subjects = 1 credit, non-academic (home ed, phys ed, music, art, etc are ½ credit for same amount of time)
