A wide variety of tutorials on various web design subjects can be found on the Rutgers Writing Program GetIT (Gaining Experience with Teaching Instructional Technology) website.

Below you will find printable handouts for using at the computer. We will expand the offerings below as we build them.

Dreamweaver MX (PDF)
A four page tutorial that outlines the most basic and important tools in Macromedia's Dreamweaver MX.

GoLive 6 (PDF)
Offers some basic information about the alternative to Dreamweaver MX, Adobe's web design program GoLive 6.

Photoshop 7 (PDF)
A four page handout highlighting the main ideas and functions of the popular image editing program, Adobe Photoshop 7.

Basic Preparation for Web Publishing (PDF)
Offers instructions on setting up a public_html folder on RCI in order to publish your web pages.

The Properties Windows in Dreamweaver 4 (PDF)
A two page description of the most important windows for editing text in Macromedia's Dreamweaver 4. If you know how to use the Properties and Page Properties windows, you can make a basic web site.
