ASA Job Registry

Each year the ASA sponsors a Jobs Registry in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. Individual ASA members seeking employment may register, as may institutions seeking candidates for positions. Candidate Form: These forms will be filed by discipline of the candidate and made available in a loose-leaf folder in the Job Registry room located in the hotel for the use of persons representing institutions seeking African specialists. Please return this form no later than November 15, 2002, to the African Studies Association, Rutgers University, 132 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1400. This service is for ASA members only.

Job Placement Form: Institutions seeking African specialists are invited to submit this form. It will be filed by disciplinary specialty and placed in a loose-leaf folder in the Job Registry room located in the Hotel for the use of applicants. Institutions participating in the ASA placement service need not to be members of the Association, but they must subscribe to equal opportunity principles. Only position announcements requiring expertise in African studies will be accepted. Please return this form no later than November 15, 2002, to the African Studies Association, Rutgers University, 132 George Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901-1400. Advertisement may also be placed, free of charge, in the ASA News. The deadline for the January/March 2003 issues is December 1, 2002.
