Atitlán /
Toliman
Looking across Lago de Atitlan, a collapse cadera that formed after the huge Los Chocoyos eruption of about 84,000 years bp. A small dome, Cerro de Oro, is on the point, with V. Toliman and V. Atitlan respectively behind it. View from Panajachel, Hotel Monterey. Atiltan grew over and covers the SW part of the caldera.

Atitlan with a table of food and textiles. View from just below Solola on the Panajachel road.

Typical scene at a Lago de Atitlan mirador. Looking west across the caldera, the low flank of Toliman volcano is at the left. V. San Pedro in the small cone in center left. Part of west and north walls of the caldera are clearly visible. Photos by Carr
