Welcome to the United States and to Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.

We are very pleased to have you join our community of distinguished international students, scholars, and faculty.

This handbook, published by the Center for International Faculty and Student Services, addresses general questions and concerns you might have, and directs you to some specific university and community services which you are likely to find need for. The handbook supplements other university publications and is intended to serve as a reference source specifically for international students. We hope you will find it useful as you begin to get settled here, and that it will continue to provide you with helpful information throughout your stay at Rutgers. Should you have any questions beyond the scope of this handbook, we encourage you to contact the center for assistance.
