Individual Career Counseling
Professional career counselors are available at each of our three offices to assist you with a range of career-related issues on an individual basis, such as:
- Choosing a major
- Developing career plans
- Planning a job search
- Planning for graduate school
- Changing careers
|
 |
Together you may decide to use career assessments, consult with resources in our career libraries, or obtain information from the internet. These activities will help you make your current career decisions.
Individual consultations last approximately 45 minutes. The number of appointments scheduled with a counselor will vary depending on the career issue(s) needing attention. Those having a few questions related to their job search might only need to meet with a counselor once or twice. Others who are just beginning to develop their career plans and are feeling confused over their college majors and future career opportunities may need to meet with a counselor several times before accomplishing their career goals.
There is no fee for current students. The alumni counseling fee is $50 for each one-hour session. There is no fee for recent graduates within one year of graduation. Alumni who are more than one year out are encouraged to make individual appointments. Our drop-in services are designed for quick resume critiques and quick answers for current students.
To make an appointment with a counselor to discuss your career issues, stop by or call the Career Services office that is most convenient for you:
