My research focuses on the semantics of natural language, and its interface with syntax, typically from a cross-linguistic perspective. The topics I have worked on can be classified under three broad categories: Questions and relative clauses; Bare nominals and genericity; Free choice items. My current projects include a survey of the semantic and pragmatic literature on Questions, differences between ever-free relatives and any with respect to epistemic modality, the connection between kind denoting terms and (in)definite interpretations, and the relationship between (quasi-) subordination and speech acts.
