I chanced upon Linguistics towards the end of a degree in Literature, while studying Lacan, Derrida, Saussure. I never looked back. Apart from Linguistics, I enjoy dancing and reading. I am trained in the Indian classical dance form of Kathak, and I am somewhat of a mythology (region-irrespective) enthusiast.

My name might appear hard to pronounce, due in no small part to two dental stops with a voicing contrast separated by a short vowel. I appreciate you trying: [d̪ɪt̪ɪ bʰɑdɹɑ], or, for the particularly adventurous, the authentic Bengali pronunciation: [d̪ɪt̪ɪ bʰɔd̪ˈɹo].
