It was an exciting game, cold and windy. All goals were scored in the "downwind" goal. The game was supposed to be played in CT but was moved back to Rutgers on account of snow in CT. Nov 23 NCAA Tournament MARYLAND L 0-1 Rutgers suffered a bitter loss in a badly refereed game -- several fouls in the box were not called, any of which would have resulted in a Rutgers penalty kick that could have changed the outcome. Maryland lost in the second round, and eventually UCLA beat both Indiana and Virginia to become NCAA national champion.
