Her background includes
critical care, intensive care, emergency care and teaching both undergraduate
and graduate nursing students. She is a board certified Nurse Practitioner,
an administrator, a public health advocate and a resource for students,
faculty and staff. She was elected as a Fellow in the American College
Health Association, where she served as Regional President and a member
of the Board of Directors. Among her many honors, includes a twice-received
certificate of Excellence in Nursing from the Department of Health and
several awards from ACHA (American College Health Association) for valuable
service and leadership. At the national meeting in New York City this
June, she becomes the president of ACHA.
