ICORS2012 ICORS2012 ICORS2012 Important: Late summer is a
high tourist season in northern Vermont and so hotels
tend to be more expensive and to be heavily booked
this time of year. So please book your
accommodations early.
University of Vermont Housing: We have reserved a block of inexpensive rooms at University Heights on the campus of the University of Vermont. University Heights housing is across the street from the conference location and near the university gymnasium. The rates for the rooms are approximately $70.00 per night for a single room and $50.00 per night/per person for a double room. The bathrooms are semi-private, i.e. two rooms share a common bath area. The rooms are air-conditioned but are relatively spartan, as is typical of student residences. A set of towels and one set of bedding is provided for the week. There are common lounge areas with televisions, pool tables, foosball tables, cafes and vending machines. One can purchase breakfast in the adjoining dining hall. Reservations for the University Heights housing can be made through the registration page being maintained by the University of Vermont Conference and Events Center. A total of 80 rooms have been reserved. Conference Hotels: We have reserved a block of rooms at two area hotels, the Marriott Courtyard Burlington Harbor and the Best Western Windjammer Inn, see the hotel map below. A total of 15 rooms are reserved at the Marriott and a total of 20 rooms are reserved at the Best Western. Information on making reservations for these rooms is available on the registration page. One can sometimes get a better deal booking online. In the US, hotels tend to charge by the room and not by the person. The following hotels are the most convenient ones to the campus conference site. For their location, please see the Hotel Map. Information on local transportation can be found in the location and travel link. Downtown Hotels: These are approximately 1.25 miles from the campus.
