Klein, a senior partner at Nowell Amoroso Klein and Beirman, has a long and distinguished career in politics. In NJ, Klein was a member of the State Assembly from 1972-1976 and former associate majority leader and chair of the majority caucus. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 1995 and served on the Banking (Financial Institutions) committee. Klein wrote the law that created the NJ Economic Development Authority, was co-counsel on bond issue for NJ Sports and Exposition Authority; co-authored the Interstate Branch Banking Law in addition to other major banking legislation. Klein is a member of the Rutgers Board of Overseers, Governor’s Committee for NJ Development Council, and Executive Committee of the NJ State Association of Jewish Federations. He is also past president of the Beth Israel Hospital board of trustees and Rutgers board of trustees. Klein received his BA from Rutgers, LLB and DJS from Harvard, and LLM from NYU.
