Value of Letter Grades on Mid-Term and Final

Letter grades on mid-term and final will be converted into numerical grades for computation of final grade in course.  Conversions follow the values stated on the syllabus.  You receive the top numerical value in the range, e.g. 75 for a C.  Minus grades have been used on the mid-term and will be used on the final.  A minus grade is three points lower than the highest value of the straight letter grade, e.g., B- is 82.    An A- is 93.  The grade D- was not used.

F = 59
D = 69
C- = 73
C = 75
C+ = 79
B- = 83
B = 85
B+ = 89
A- = 93
A = 94 or more
