EVENT HORIZON is a new interdisciplinary journal dedicated to the exchange of critical and theoretical ideas between researchers and writers in the sciences and humanities. Each issue--the first appears 8 February 2000--will feature a variety of essays, interviews, and reviews.

EVENT HORIZON starts from the position that the sciences and humanities too rarely confer, and the journal hopes to make shared exploration its hallmark. Essays that cross wide and narrow disciplinary lines will be accompanied on occasion by written responses; contributors may be asked to correspond in public, by modes that include this website, with colleagues from other fields. Disagreement is encouraged though dismissal is not. We can all learn more.

The journal is housed in the Department of English at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
