CONTRIBUTE



EVENT HORIZON invites essays that explore the complex relationship between the sciences and humanities, including analyses of academic and industrial research, funding, pedagogy, policy, culture, history, philosophy, interdisciplinarity. We encourage work that engages scientific, mathematical, or scholarly theoretical developments, though contributions should be accessible to a wide audience of academics.

To encourage a critical and thoughtful dialogue between the humanities and the sciences, we also seek responses to these essays written from other perspectives. Click for a description of essays accepted for publication that need such a response.

We also publish reviews of recent books, films, and specimens of other media in the field, and invite proposals for material to review.

submission requirements
Essays should not exceed twenty-five single-sided, double-spaced, typewritten pages (9000 words). Please attach photocopies of any illustrations, tables, or photographs.

Responses should be between four and ten single-sided, double-spaced, typewritten pages (1350-3500 words).

Reviews should not exceed ten single-sided, double-spaced, typewritten pages (3500 words).

Written material may conform to MLA, APA, or Chicago styles, or another style standard in your field. Endnotes are preferred to footnotes. Submit two printed copies via coventional post and one electronic copy as ASCII text, a file attached to email, or a on floppy disk in Macintosh (preferred) or Windows format. Author's name should appear on a cover sheet only. If desired, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for returns.
