Picasso's Guernica (La Guernica de Picasso)

The characters of Picasso's famous painting relate the story of their tragic deaths during the controversial and unexpected bombing of the small Spanish town of Guernica during the Spanish Civil War. The work explores universal themes through the dramatic implementation of poetic verse. One act. May be staged with a single set.

Productions: The U.S. bilingual premiere took place at Thalia Spanish Theatre, Queens, New York, in 2000, under the direction of Angel Gil Orrios.
