Comedy in 3 acts. An elderly couple, with a country home in the mountains and declining income, solve their economic problems by renting part of their house to a young couple, but with the understanding that each couple will pretend the other does not exist. The rules are broken when the elderly spectators feel impelled to enter a play-within-the-play involving the younger woman's imaginary jealousy of her husband's real lover.
