Dr. Louis M. Vasvary, a retiree from Cook College where he was an Extension Specialist in Entomology for over 30 years, passed away on May 22, 1999. He also was a long-time member and officer of the New Jersey Shade Tree Federation. As a memorial to Lou, a Parrotia persica tree (a mature tree is pictured to the left) was planted on 11;00 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2000 in front of Blake Hall on the Cook College Campus. |
