One leaf-cutting ant (see Question 1) in the upper right of the photo seems to be taking a free ride. What is it doing?

1. It is taking a free ride - there are cheaters in the ant world.
2. It is taking a break - ants trade off work when bringing leaves from afar.
3. It is a soldier - it protects the workers against predators.
4. It is a predator - a spider mimicking an ant.
