Argiope spiders weave "zigzags" in their webs. It is believed that these zigzags make bee-catching more successful because:

  1. these zigzags are extra sticky
  2. the zigzags reflect red light which is invisible to bees .
  3. the zigzags reflect UV light and attracts bees.
  4. Both 2 and 3.
