Some Notes on Using Visuals in Your Proposals
Your final proposal needs to have at least three non-photographic visual displays of information (a table, a graph, a diagram, flow chart, etc.)
Each visual needs to be labelled Figure and given a number (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc.).
Each visual needs to have a name/descriptive caption (e.g., "Defect Rate and Absentee Rate of Widget Subassembly").
If the visual is not of your own creation and/or the data used not of your own gathering, be sure to identify the source of the figure and/or data below the figure.
Here is an example:
Figure 3 Blue cirlces, colors, and lines (Schoffelen, Oostenveld, & Fries, 2005, p. 112). List the source of the image or data in your works cited. Thus:
Schoffelen, J.-M., Oostenveld, R., & Fries, P. (2005). Neuronal coherence as a mechanism of effective corticospinal interaction. Science, (308), 111-113.
