What is Rutgers in Highland Park?

We are a group of Rutgers faculty, staff and students who live in Highland Park, NJ who are dedicated to making Highland Park a ture "living and learning" community  within Rutgers and within Highland Park. This voluntary organization is open to all Rutgers faculty, staff, and students.

Our goals:
  • Welcoming new faculty and staff to Highland Park.
  • Serving as a liaison between Highland Park officials and the Rutgers administration for town-gown issues of importance to both Rutgers and Highland Park.
  • Advocating the interests of Rutgers faculty, staff, and students in Highland Park, both within Rutgers and with the borough of Highland Park
  • To provide a clearinghouse of information through our website and email listserve for Rutgers employees living in Highland Park
  • To create bonds of sociability through community evnts such as an annual picnic in Donaldson Park, booths a the annual Highland Park street fair, etc.
