Undergraduate Teaching

I currently teach Principles of Abnormal Psychology at the undergraduate level. This course provides an introduction to the field of abnormal psychology. First, we discuss definitions of abnormal psychology and the diagnosis and assessment of emotional disorders. The most commonly occurring disorders will be covered with an emphasis on phenomenology (what it is like to experience the disorder ), etiology (the possible causes of the disorder), and contemporary approaches to treatment. Special attention is paid to controversial topics and current trends in the study of abnormal psychology.
