Over the past 25 years, Dr. Jack Aiello's research lab has been investigating the process by which people regulate and control their social interaction with others. Primary emphasis during the past decade has been on stress and performance in the workplace, leadership, group processes, supervisory feedback, computer performance monitoring, diversity, social facilitation, privacy, and social justice. Lyra M. Stein

I am currently a graduate student in the Rutgers psychology doctoral program. I graduated from Rutgers University majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology and then earned my graduate degree in Neuroscience. I am studying the correlation of the five-factor model of personality with job performance.

Jason Glushakow

I am currently a third year graduate student in the Social Psychology doctoral program. My research interests include spatial behavior, interruptions, workplace stress, consumer psychology, and the effect different communication modalities have on interpersonal influence

Raphael Prager

I am a Rutgers College Senior majoring in psychology with a minor in history. This is my fifth semester with the Social/Organizational Psychology lab. I am currently working on an honors thesis on individual differences and multitasking performance. I hope to attend a Ph.D. program next year for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and eventually would like to be part of a consulting firm for large corporations. I am particularly interested in leadership, individual differences, organizational communication, and group dynamics.

Nick Grau

I am a senior majoring in psychology with a minor in labor studies.  I plan on going to graduate school for psychology, possibly pursuing a career in school psychology.  Joining the research team will give me valuable experience in the field that I need to be successful in my goals

Eriny Mobarak

I am a Rutgers College Junior double majoring in Psychology and Accounting. This is my first semester with Dr. Aiello's research team. I joined the team in an effort to learn more about this area in psychology since it relates to both of my majors. I am really looking forward to the hands-on learning experience that this lab offers.

Dereck Chiu

I graduated from Columbia in 2003, majoring in economics and philosophy, and would like to transition to the psychology field. Having worked in corporate settings before, the Social-Organizational Lab's research areas are particularly relevant and interesting to me. To gain more lab experience and further develop my research focus areas, I joined Dr. Aiello's lab last summer. In addition, I am involved with the Social Perception Lab and am applying for entrance to social psychology programs next fall.

Marley Kass

II am currently a senior at University College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Initially I was more interested in Biopsychology and its related areas, however I joined the team this past summer and currently my interests have shifted more toward I/O Psychology. I plan to take this experience and all that I learn from it with me, as I hope to continue on to graduate school next fall.

Alaafia Ajibade

I am a senior in University College, and I'm majoring in Psychology. I am in Dr Aiello's research team to gain experience that will help me when I go to graduate school where I hope to study to become a School Psychologist. I want to work with kids and teenagers preferably in a School setting.

Tomer Hoenig

I am a senior majoring in both Psychology and Economics. I am planning right now on going into Human Resources once I graduate, and believe that participating in this research will help me in pursuing that goal.

Maria Riveiro

I am a senior at Douglass College. I'm a psychology and communication double major, and would like to go to grad school to pursue a PsyD. Through this research team, I am hoping to gain the necessary research experience that I will need in the future.

Matt Graziano

I am a second year graduate student in Rutgers School of Social Work. I am looking to gain valuable research experience in the field before looking towards a Ph.D. program in Psychology. Eventually, I would like to teach at the college level, looking at literature through a psychological lens.

Marina Pejic

I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology, Public Health and minoring in German. After getting my undergraduate degree, I plan on attending Graduate school to get my doctorate in Social Psychology.

Kristen Darroch

I am a Rutgers College senior with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. I plan to attend graduate school upon graduation in May and my participation in Dr. Aiello's research group will provide me with excellent experience for my field.

Matthew Heiblim

I graduated from Rutgers in the summer of 2006 with a degree in Psychology. I am working in Dr. Aiello’s lab to get experience for Graduate School. I intend to get my Masters in Social Work at Rutgers. My goal is to be working for the Division of Youth and Family Services after I finish school.

Stefanie A Pilip

I am a University College Senior majoring in Psychology.  My interests include I/O & Developmental/Clinical-Child Psychology.  In the fall I plan on attending graduate school to earn my doctorate.  This is my first semester with Dr. Aiello’s team and I look forward to continuing in the spring.  Over the next two semesters, I hope to gain valuable research experience while expanding on my knowledge of I/O Psychology.   

Sean McGuirt

I am am currently a Rutgers College senior majoring in psychology with aminor in sociology. My main interest is research in social psychology. I am also interested in nueropsychology.I am planning to attend graduateschool and get a Ph.D
