Literature Searches

In recent years our research group has paid close attention to various topical areas that are related to the fundamental principles of social and industrial/organizational psychology, particularly those that deal with interactions between individuals.

List of various topical areas, related to fundamental principles of psychology that our research team is studying currently:

Workplace Privacy

•  Concerning the need or the lack of privacy that workers experience in their work setting and the subsequent impact.

Computer Monitoring

•  Focused on the studies done on electronic performance monitoring (EPM), also the health effects of monitoring on managers and workers.

Diversity

•  Workforce compositions, examines issues of human rights and changes in worker make-up and their effects. Diversity training and its effectiveness have also been investigated.

Supervisory Feedback

•  Examines the outcomes of different forms of feedback. Includes research on types of feedback (e.g. normative, temporal, valence, comparative) and the most effective ways to give feedback in the workplace.

Balanced Scorecard

•  A performance measurement and performance management system developed by Robert Kaplan and David Norton that allows organizations to clarify their vision and strategy and translate them into action.

Change Management

•  An organized, systematic application of the knowledge, tools, and resources of change that provides organizations with a key process to achieve their business strategy

Project Management

•  The application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to a broad range of activities to meet the requirements of a particular project

•  Examines the intrinsic/extrinsic elements behind individuals' drive in a workplace.

Communication

•  Investigating the effectiveness of different types of communicating mediums, for example e-mail, telephone, instant messengers, and teleconferencing.
