YOU SHOULD ALSO BRING A T-TEST TABLE
AND AN F-TABLE (You remember ... those tables where
you look up to see if some result is statistically
significant). 



OVERVIEW
This course is designed to meet the following goals:
1. Strengthen your foundation in basic statistics
2. Expose you to the workhorse intermediate stats
frequently used in psychological research
3. Lead you to understand when to use particular statistics
4. Provide you with
    a. experience obtaining those statistics, primarily
    in SPSS, and secondarily in Excel
    b. experience interpreting results and output.
5. Expose you to common procedures for following up
basic statistics, in order to gain more information from your data.


CONTENT

I. Review: T-tests, correlations, bivariate regression,
and one way ANOVA.

II. Two and three way ANOVA

III. Contrasts, Bayesian model comparison, Effect sizes

IV.  Repeated measures and mixed designs

V.  Multiple regression

VI. Mediation, moderation, and simple path analysis (if time)

REQUIRED BOOK: NONE
However, I assume you already have a decent book
that covers basic statistics.  If not, you should either purchase
one or borrow one. 

I also may add a required reading or two as we go along.
If so, I will make it available either by email or through
electronic reserve.


GRADING
Homeworks and small projects: 70%:

Take home final: 30%
