Quiz for the Bishops of The Episcopal Church
Quiz for the Bishops of The Episcopal Church
By The Rev. Paul Woodrum
- If an African-American family moves into an all white neighborhood and
their neighbors burn a cross on their lawn, whose fault is it?
[ ] The African-American family for going where they are not wanted.
[ ] The neighbors for being racially prejudiced.
- If a gay couple joins an Episcopal Church with lots of children and the
parishioners threaten to leave the church, whose fault is it?
[ ] The gay couple for going where they are not wanted, flaunting
un-Biblical immorality and recruiting children into the gay life style.
[ ] The parishioners for bias against those whose sexual orientation
differs from their own.
- If an Anglican province ordains a partnered gay person as a bishop and
other provinces threaten to leave the Anglican Communion, whose fault is it?
[ ] The province that ordained the gay person because they were insensitive
toward the feelings of others and disobedient to the Bible.
[ ] The provinces that threaten to leave because they are insensitive to
the dignity of all God's children and disobedient to the Bible.
