Strong Arm Tactics:

A History and Statistical Analysis of the Professional Quarterback

99-Yard Touchdown Passes

One record that can be tied but never broken is the longest TD pass. The 99-yard TD pass has been completed 11 times in pro football history. The most surprising instance was the first when Andy Farkas took a 2-yard swing pass from Frankie Filchock and raced 97 yards with it. The most significant was the Jaworski to Quick connection that abruptly won an overtime game for the Eagles. The pass length of the 99-yard plays is noted when known, as is the quarterback's total passing yards on the day.
