EAMC Host: Welcome Bruce Campbell

Bruce Campbell: Thanks its great to be here

EAMC Host: Great Bruce, we are thrilled to have you with us Here is our first question This question is from RTH93 for Bruce Campbell Question: What was it like to work on Brisco County Jr.?

Bruce Campbell: It was short! That show lasted a whole 26 episodes plus a pilot. Short but sweet. It was a long year and everyone thought we were a shoe in for the next season - but then they said thanks... see ya. We came into Fox at an interesting period when they needed to pay their bills so they evicted us! Now the new ones are UPN and WB - Question: What made you decide to do Army of Darkness? (which you were brilliant in)

Bruce Campbell: Well it was part 3 - so the other two had already been made .. it was pay day! No just kidding - with sequels, as long as you can make them fun and interesting, so why not do them?

EAMC Host: Here is a question from StrungOut for Bruce Campbell Question: Will there ever be a part 4 to the Evil Dead Trilogy?

Bruce Campbell: Yes! When monkeys fly out of my butt! No - there's a misconception as if we have a choice about making these things. Its not that easy - if the third one made money then we probably would have already been making the fourth one - but the third one was not a money maker and the bottom line in Hollywood - is ..... money! We have the story line but it probably won't happen.

EAMC Host: Here is a question from NEvans500 for Bruce Campbell Question: bruce what's it like playing the part of autolycus what are lucy lawless and renee o'connor like to work with are they fun to be around i would like to meet them you dont happen to have their addresses do you

Bruce Campbell: Well, part one is Lucy and Rene - they are very enjoyable - no you cannot have their addresses because its none of your beeswax! But Lucy and Rene are very different people : But I enjoy working with both of them

EAMC Host: Here is another question from the audience

EAMC Host: Here is a question from Splasher8 for Bruce Campbell Question: Hi Bruce, I would watch"The Adventures of Brisco County Jr." every week and i've been a big fan ever since. Do you enjoy going from serious roles like in "Army of Darkness" to comical roles like in Brisco County Jr.?

Bruce Campbell: I like the whole mixed bag. Its very important to keep the powers at be guessing because you can get so pigenholed easily. I'm not a serious actor, comedy actor, whatever, I'm an actor - give me a serious line and I'll be serious!

EAMC Host: Here is a question from LuckyDuk1 for Bruce Campbell Question: What's it like filming in New Zealand? Do you get a lot of jet lag?

Bruce Campbell: New Zealand is a parallel universe. Very much like the UK. You look out your window and everything looks the same, but it isn't. The people are a little different - they have tea time like in England, they are very civilized Just when you think you are going to get all your work done for the day they take a tea break and everyone plays hacky sack! I was directing then and I had to keep working while they were all taking a break!

EAMC Host: Here is a question from Serrin98 for Bruce Campbell Question: I am interested in becoming a screen writer. I've even started on a script for a movie. Any advice for people just starting out about who to contact that might even listen?

Bruce Campbell: Your Uncle Willy - because that's the only person who will listen. First, you need to write a good script. Its one thing to get on a bus and come to Hollywood. My theory is that you should fill out a multiple questionnaire: Why are you coming to Hollywood? Because you have a lot of problems and you think if you come to Hollywood you'll make a lot of money. People need to realize that when you come to cali - no one is waiting for you to come! You are welcome to come. If you come for 3 weeks with $100 in your pocket - that's going to be a problem. then you have to decide what job you are going to take, a waiter, cab driver or work behind the scenes in production. I want to make it a point that this is a land of very hard work. If you want to write a script, I would recommend you write dozens of scripts before you start submitting them. People need to learn the proper screenplay format. Let's say you send something to WB and its beautifully bound and copied and they are going to put it in the first trash bin they find! Scripts are held together with little brads and their is a reason for that - they are going to pull it apart and change it. Always copyright anything you write at the Library of Congress before you even show it to Uncle Willy! So that's a long winded answer for you...

EAMC Host: Here is another question for Bruce Campbell Question: In the episode with Cupcake(Men in Pink) you didn't have a moustache or gouti are they fake? And did you know the girl that played cupcake before the episode?

Bruce Campbell: Yes and no. I'm currently growing back my mustache and gouti because I'm going back to New Zealand. But if I come off something that is clean shaven then I have to wear a fake one. The woman Cupcake - no I had not met her before. She was delightful

EAMC Host: Here is a question from Trbl007 for bruce Campbell Question: Bruce, I love your performances in Xena. What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you while filming a Xena episode?

Bruce Campbell: Ha Ha - one time I didn't remember my lines! There is a real problem with actors relating funny stories. Because what is funny to us is not necessarily funny to non-actors. We work very closely together and its hard to translate - crew members get nick names, etc. A lot of funny things happen but it won't be funny to you!

EAMC Host: Here is a question from JayRobin3 for Bruce Campbell Question: I really enjoyed you as the homophobic boss on "Ellen." Particularly your physical comedy. What was it like to work with Ellen and what was it like to be part of TV history?

Bruce Campbell: It was great. Ellen I found to be very intelligent and on top of her game. It was fun. I totally stumbled into that. It was hey can you come and meet the Ellen people and two hours later I was in rehearsal. I had a contract with ABC and I was sent over by the network. I talked my way into the role and I was only supposed to do 3 episodes but I wound up doing 8. My character absolutely did not like the fact that she was gay. I kinda represented the Iowa mentality of oh my, your gay, your'e evil. But, hopefully, people will know that I was only acting!

EAMC Host: Here is a question from JernWen for Bruce Campbell Question: What's it like to work with Kevin Szorbo?

Bruce Campbell: Kevin plays Hercules! he is a big buffed out guy - studly guy and when I first met him was when I went down to direct an episode - and I was tired but so I played golf with him to find out what his deal was. I let him beat me first of all so I would ask questions about what pisses him off or what bothers him as an actor. He also paid for the game and I had a good caddie - I asked him if he was good at finding balls so I told him to find one so we could get started with the game ")

EAMC Host: Here is a question from Andi May Question: Does it get confusing switching between the two shows?

Bruce Campbell: The only dynamic is between me and Xena and me and Hercules. I was doing the bonding thing because Hercules is a guy show and with Xena - I'm trying to get into her pants! :) But you have to be careful with Xena because she'll kick your ass!

EAMC Host: Here is a question from Kellze Question: Hi Bruce i am Kelli.i think you are very sexy and would like to know if there are any movies in your future?

Bruce Campbell: Hi Kelly. I just did a phony movie in South Africa. A friend of mine directed a movie called "From Dusk Till Dawn Part 3" and I unfortunately get killed in the opening scene

EAMC Host: Here is a question from Blue11876 for Bruce Campbell Question: Bruce, would you like to have a love scene with Lucy Lawless, or any other actress on Xena, or one that stars on Hercules?

Bruce Campbell: A love scene with Xena would be great! But her character -- she's not a real man liker!

EAMC Host: Here is a question from KNe827217 Question: Bruce, you seem to have a real flair for playing the hero. Any possibilities of playing the comic super hero in the future?!?!

Bruce Campbell: I don't think so and I'll tell you why. Because a comic superhero can never be killed. Even in comic history - they say Superman has been killed and then three episodes later, he's alive! There is not a lot of depth to their character but like when batman comes on I start to look at my watch. I think those roles really aren't that interesting. I'm superman and only kryptonite and hurt me! I like characters that can be damaged. Like Luke Skywalker when he's fighting and he loses his hand with the light saber!

EAMC Host: Bruce, thank you for joining us this evening in AOL Live

Bruce Campbell: Bless you all :)

EAMC Host: Good night everyone
