Preservation

One of the risks that library materials face is damage incurred by pests. The Rutgers University Libraries can implement preventative measures that will reduce the risk of damage to the collection.

In the event that pest damage is discovered, there should be procedures in place to counteract further pest damage and seek remediation for damaged materials.

The following prevention methods and procedures detail the scenarios and the steps to take in order to minimize the damage incurred by insects and pests.
