The Douglass Science Career Exploration Day for
young women in grades 11 and 12 will be held February 14th, 2004 at Douglass
College. Career exploration is a vital part of the education process that
often doesn't get enough attention, therefore; this day will be a great
opportunity for students to discover the many hidden careers in the areas
of science, math, engineering and technology that they were not aware
of. They will here from women in these fields and learn of the challenges
and rewards of following a path that may not always be traditional for
their gender. Your assistance is needed to get the word out and to encourage
