Douglass Project Pre-College Programs

Douglass Science Institute Program Series (DSI)
DSI is a four-year summer residential program for young women entering 9th grade who want to explore a variety of areas including biology, chemistry, computers, environmental and marine sciences, engineering, physics, and mathematics. Applications for DSI are filed during the spring term of the 8th grade year.

New Jersey Institute of Technology

Summer Program:
The Center for Precollege Programs at NJIT gives pre-college students the chance to explore careers in science, mathematics, engineering and technology and to experience the relationship between these subjects and their applications to everyday life. Students become "engineers," "mathematicians," "architects," "managers" or "scientists" and learn how to design solutions to problems that affect everyone.

   

Douglass Science Weekend Academy

The Douglass Science Weekend Academy offers students opportunities to explore the life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics and technology through labs and workshops. The Weekend Academy runs three consecutive Saturdays, usually in the fall semester.

New Jersey Institute of Technology

The Center for Pre-College Programs was established in 1978 in order to increase access to scientific and technological fields among traditionally underrepresented populations and to improve the teaching of science and mathematics in secondary and elementary schools.
