New Jersey’s nineteen community colleges administer the ACCUPLACER® exam to determine student placement levels for math and English courses which are part of your general education requirements. 

ACCUPLACER® is an untimed, multiple choice test taken on a computer.  It consists of reading comprehension, sentence skills, essay writing, and math. ACCUPLACER® is an adaptive test where the questions you are shown are based on your answers to previous questions.
