The Office
of Institutional Research and Planning will play an increasingly
critical role in generating and analyzing data for effective
management and institutional accountability. Surveys on admitted
and enrolled students, attrition, academic support, seniors,
alumni, faculty productivity, study abroad programs, and staff/faculty
transportation needs generate critical information about the
success of current programs and services and predict future trends.
Strategic planning will continue to depend on ongoing institutional
assessments provided by QCI, and ongoing institutional data analysis
provided by the Office of Institutional Research and Planning.
A recent example of the Office of Institutional Research and
Planning's efforts is the Rutgers Fact Book (Appendix 4) which
provides a vast array of information about the university. The
Office of Institutional Research and Planning established a home
page on the World Wide Web at http://www-rci.rutgers.edu/~oirap/OIRAP/.
In addition to the Rutgers Fact Book, the site includes tables
and reports produced by the Office as well as information concerning
the current Middle States Association reaccreditation self-study. |
