Transfer Student Rate from the Senior Institution to the Community Colleges (i.e. reverse transfer rate)

After 6 years, 8.5% of the first-time fall 1990 entering cohort had taken at least one course at a community college.

The factors influencing reverse transfer require further analysis. For example, the figures provided do not distinguish students who transfer to community colleges because of academic difficulties at Rutgers, and those who come to see community colleges as a better match for their educational aspirations.
