Profile of Faculty Major Research and Public Service Activities

As the state's comprehensive public university, faculty are involved in a vast number of research and service activities benefitting the state and its citizens, and enriching its teaching mission. Rutgers' success in research is demonstrated by the growth in contracts and grant research funding. The increase in contracts and grants awarded from fiscal year 1986 through fiscal year 1997 demonstrates the value in having a faculty of national and international distinction serving the state.
